Cristina Garcia Vivar
Cristina García-Vivar, PhD. Senior Associate Professor and Deputy Director in the Department of Health Sciences of the Public University of Navarre. Previously, she held different academic and management positions at the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Navarra, the last being as Senior Associate Professor (2014-2020) and Vice Dean of Research (2014- 2016, 2018-2020). She served as director of International Affairs of the Spanish General Council of Nursing, and director of the Nursing Observatory of the Spanish Institute of Nursing Research (2016 -2018). Since 2009 she serves as research advisor at the Official Board of Nursing of Navarre, Spain. Her teaching activity is framed in the area of Family and Community Nursing. Her research focuses on long-term cancer survivorship; Family Systems Nursing; Living with Chronic Conditions; Continuity of care and Primary Health Care. She belongs to several European and Spanish research and working groups, such as: FAME-Research- FAMily health in Europe; INNO-CARE- Innovative Nursing Practices (Public University of Navarre and Institute of Health Research of Navarre, Spain); ?Chronic Illness and End of Life Care? (University of Navarra, Spain); SEEO group of Cancer survivors (Spanish Society of Cancer Nursing). Dr. García-Vivar is also a member of the Advisory Committee of the European Centre of Excellence for Continuing Professional Development for Nursing and Midwifery and she serves as Board of Directors of the International Family Nursing Association (IFNA) since 2014.
