RESEARCH GROUPS

The research of our group is developed in the design and evaluation of new technologies and health services, with a special focus on Primary and Community Care and Mental Health. The research frameworks would be: Research in PC and Community and Mental Health; and the Evaluation of Health Services. The group specialises in health economics, including the study of preventive strategies and pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments of mental illnesses and chronic diseases of high prevalence or social impact, such as stroke and cardiovascular disease. In addition, we evaluate the impact of population interventions, policies and the availability of care resources on health and the use of health and social services. The results of the studies conducted can be used for health service planning, health service economic management and health policy setting.
