Promotion and Primary Prevention of Prevalent Diseases in Primary Care
The overall objective of RICAPPS is to foster networked research oriented towards health outcomes in the fields of primary care, chronicity and health promotion, in order to enable the transfer of results to clinical practice and to healthcare service organisations, with the aim of improving public healthcare.
OBJECTIVES

To characterise, evaluate and analyse the impact of health promotion and primary prevention strategies with a gender perspective in the context of primary care and the community.
To identify needs and characterise Health Promotion and Community Participation strategies, from a gender and equity perspective.

To develop tools for the early detection of non-communicable diseases in primary care, and develop screening strategies and interventions for the secondary prevention of such diseases.

To promote innovative and responsible research, focused on people person and their care needs, that incorporates a gender perspective and makes its implementation in primary care sustainable.
To develop implementation strategies to improve the reach, adoption, implementation and maintenance of effective and cost-effective interventions aimed at health promotion, prevention and the management of chronicity that enable health outcomes to be achieved in the primary care setting.

To develop and evaluate patient-centred strategies and interventions, digital health solutions, and quantitative and qualitative methodological improvements for health services research.
To generate population-based RWE and RWD network structures within the Spanish National Health System to support clinical decision-making in chronic and prevalent conditions in primary care, and the development and evaluation of e-health solutions to improve the delivery of care.
