Biosistemak - OSI Bilbao Basurto
Multidisciplinary team made up of 19 professionals with complementary profiles, covering the field of clinical practice in primary care, epidemiology, biostatistics and health management. The group is coordinated from the Bilbao-Basurto Integrated Health Organisation (IHO), and researchers from IIS Bioaraba, IISS Biosistemak, Osakidetza General Directorate, Araba IHO, Donostialdea IHO, University of Deusto and University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) also belong to it. The group has extensive experience in health services research focused on chronic diseases, evaluation of patient-perceived outcomes and experiences (PROMs and PREMs), mathematical modelling, development and validation of predictive models, risk stratification, economic evaluation and the use of Real World Data (RWD). In addition, the group has extensive experience in the evaluation of health services, the design and evaluation of new interventions, and their implementation and evaluation.
Lines of work
- Data analysis: Statistical modeling, risk stratification and real world data (RWD).
- Tools for clinical practice: Validation and reduction of PROMs and PREMs and Digital Health (use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) for the promotion of healthy lifestyles).
- Evaluation and efficiency of the health system: pharmacoeconomics and economic evaluation, and value-based health care.
- Implementation, change and quality: variability in clinical practice; transformation in health organizations and systems, and implementation.
