RESEARCH GROUPS

EpiChron is a research group of the Spanish National Health System (SNS) focused on chronic diseases and multimorbidity with a clinical and public health approach.
We investigate the nature, evolution and impact of chronic diseases and multimorbidity in the population with an epidemiological approach. We advance in the design of care models and the evaluation of the effectiveness of person-centred interventions specifically created for the clinical management of multimorbidity in the NHS.
Advancing in the knowledge of multimorbidity, its related factors and its determinants, aims to reduce its negative impact and facilitate its approach through prevention, promotion and health care strategies centred on the person.
