Research lines

Task 1. To promote the identification and prioritization of best practices or problems in the quality of care that require implementation research as well as the analysis of the causes and determinants of these problems and the processes necessary to solve them; using theories, models, theoretical frameworks and methods developed within the field of Implementation Science.

Task 2. To scientifically design, based on appropriate theories and available evidence, implementation and /or de-implementation strategies that are hypothetically necessary and sufficient to address the factors that determine the systematic and generalized adoption of best practices and interventions of proven effectiveness and the abandonment of those of low value.

Task 3. To evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of such implementation and/or de-implementation strategies by
assessing their impact on clinical practice change, its maintenance and sustainability, the fidelity of its execution process and the factors associated with its adequate implementation and achievement of results.

Task 4. To enhance the transfer and scale-up of best practices and effective evidence-based interventions or the abandonment of low-value care at healthcare system level using strategies and methods shown to be effective in optimizing healthcare practice and its results.

Task 1. To organize and conduct workshops and capacity building formative actions to disseminate and promote the use of theories, models, frameworks and specific research methodologies developed within the field of Implementation Science, in order to foster implementation research among RICAPPS partners.

Task 2. Development or adaptation of tools, materials, and resources to guide and support the planning, design, evaluation and report of present or new implementation research projects aimed at facilitating the adoption and sustainable implementation of best practices and effective evidence-based interventions.

Task 3. To support new and ongoing research between 2025 and 2027 within the context of RICAPPS that contributes to the transfer and scale-up of best practices and effective evidence-based healthcare interventions and the abandonment of low-value practices, using Implementation Science theories and methodologies.
