Pedro Ruymán Brito Brito
Nurse, holding a Bachelor's Degree in Information Sciences and a Master's Degree in End-of-Life Care from the University of La Laguna (ULL), Tenerife. As a clinical healthcare professional, I have worked across various settings, including hospital care, primary care, socio-sanitary centers, and non-governmental organizations, among others. In 2011, I defended my PhD thesis on psychosocial issues related to community health in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health at ULL.
I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Nursing at the University of La Laguna, teaching since 2004, and focusing my primary professional work on continuous and specialized training within the Primary Care Management unit. I am also an active researcher, participating in European, national, and regional funded projects since 2009.
Author of numerous publications in scientific journals, book chapters, and books, in addition to communications and lectures at conferences. Recognized as a benchmark expert in the use and application of the nursing process and standardized care languages within the primary care clinical setting, as well as in the psychosocial field, specifically regarding loss and grief. Currently, I hold an academic position in the Faculty of Nursing as Secretary and Clinical Internship Coordinator.
