Cristina Valcárcel Nazco
Cristina Valcárcel Nazco is a health economist at the Evaluation Service of the Canary Islands Health Service (SESCS) member of RedETS, with more than 15 years of experience in the field of health technology assessment (HTA). Her professional career combines participation in competitive national and international projects with the preparation of more than twenty HTA reports, many of them focused on newborn screening and rare diseases. She has led and collaborated on cost-effectiveness studies, budget impact analyses, and real-world data (RWD) analyses applied to different areas of clinical practice and public health. She has authored more than 30 publications in high-impact scientific journals, including contributions in the fields of rare diseases, quality of life, and the economic evaluation of screening programs.
