Maria João Forjaz -
Maria João Forjaz holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Lisbon and a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Texas, with a Fulbright scholarship. Since 2006, she has worked at the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII), and is currently a research scientist at the ISCIII's National Center for Epidemiology. She combines her research activities with teaching in the Master's Program in Public Health. Her main research interests are multimorbidity, quality of life, healthy aging, patient-centered health outcome assessment, and questionnaire validation. She has been the principal investigator on several publicly funded research projects, is the author of more than 170 articles published in scientific journals with an impact factor, and has an h-index of 39. She is the outgoing president of the Spanish Society of Epidemiology and a group leader and co-leader of WP9 in the RICAPPS research network.
