Carmen Guirado Fuentes
PhD from the University of Valladolid in the Advanced Methods in Modern Physics programme within the Department of Theoretical, Atomic and Optical Physics. She has extensive research experience, including numerous conference contributions and publications, such as peer-reviewed scientific journal articles, health technology assessment reports, and technical and outreach documents. She has also participated in numerous national and international research projects as a researcher and collaborator, as well as carrying out project management, administrative, and reporting activities.
Her experience spans institutions such as the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), the University of Valladolid, and, currently, the Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria de Canarias (IISC) – Fundación Canaria Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria de Canarias, where she works within the Evaluation Service of the Canarian Health Service. She has strong written and oral communication skills in both Spanish and English, with a certified B2 level in English. In addition, she has extensive training and professional experience in data analysis, quality control, validation, and data processing, as well as in the development of computational algorithms and modelling. She also has teaching experience and has supervised Master’s theses at the European University of the Canary Islands.
