Borja García Lorenzo

Borja García-Lorenzo is a health economist, principal investigator of the Value-Based Healthcare (VBHC) research group at the Biosistemak Institute and professor at the University of Deusto. Borja holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) and a Master's in Industrial Economics from University Carlos III of Madrid. His areas of interest are the VBHC and the evaluation of health policies and technologies. He has published in leading journals and has led reports on Health technology Assessment (HTA) for the Ministry of Health. He currently serves as the coordinator of the EvaluAES interest group on public health policy research for the Spanish Health Economics Association. Previously, he worked at Hospital Clinic of Barcelona and the HTA Unit of the Canary Islands Health Service, member of the Network of Health Technology Assessment Agencies of the Spanish Ministry of Health. He has also been a visiting research fellow at the Université de Bordeaux, the Toulouse School of Economics and the Groupe d'Analyse de Théorie Économique de Lyon.
