Aránzazu Hernández Yumar

PhD in Regional Development with an International Mention and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the Universidad de La Laguna (ULL). She also holds a Specialist Diploma in the Evaluation of Medicines and Health Technologies from UNED.
She works as a research technician at the Canarian Health Research Institute Foundation (FIISC), affiliated with the Evaluation Service of the Canary Health Service (SESCS), and is a member of the Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria de Canarias (IISC) and the Spanish Network of Agencies for Assessing National Health System Technologies and Performance (RedETS). She is also a lecturer at ULL and serves as an editor for the Blog Economía y Salud and the Boletín Economía y Salud of the Asociación de Economía de la Salud (AES).
She has mentored Family and Community Medicine residents from the Hospital Universitario de Canarias in research methodology. She has professional and research experience in Health Economics and Health Technology Assessment (HTA), complemented by formal training in data processing and analysis, innovation, HTA, economic evaluation, impact assessment, and health-related quality of life. Furthermore, she has published several articles in scientific journals, undertaken national and international research stays, and participated in various competitively funded research projects.
