Estefanía Herrera Ramos
PhD in Health Sciences specializing in Human Genetics and Immunology within the Public Health program (2008–2010). Bachelor's Degree in Biology with specializations in Healthcare, and Molecular and Cellular Biology (2008), Certificate of Pedagogical Aptitude (2009), Expert in Health Services and Chronic Diseases Research (2018) and Specialization in Drug and Health Technology Assessment in the Spanish National Health System (2026).
She has been a researcher at the Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria de Canarias (IISC) – Fundación Canaria Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria de Canarias (FIISC), affiliated with the Evaluation Service of the Canarian Health Service (SESCS) since 2016. She is a member of the Knowledge Management group and coordinates the Documentation and Dissemination area. She contributes to the development of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) reports, Clinical Practice Guidelines, and other clinical decision support tools, collaborates on methodological aspects as an information specialist, focusing her work at SESCS on the design and implementation of complex search strategies across biomedical bibliographic databases.
She has over 15 years of experience in health research. She participates in regional and national research projects, and has provided support to several European projects as well as other HTA agencies. She is part of the Spanish Network of Agencies for Health Technology Assessment and Services of the National Health System (RedETS), the Research Network on Chronicity, Primary Care and Health Promotion (RICAPPS), the International Guidelines Network (GIN) and Health Technology Assessment International (HTAi).
