Josep Lluís Clua-Espuny is a family doctor, teacher and principal investigator of the EBRICTUS group (Epidemiological Research Group on Stroke from Primary Care) at IDIAP Jordi Gol. The Ebrictus group (https://www.IDIAPJGOL.ORG/INDEX.PHP/CA/GRUPSRECERCA/EBRICTUS) is accredited as a consolidated group by the AGAUR It develops its healthcare activity in the Terres de l'Ebre, combining it with clinical and epidemiological research in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. His main lines of research include the prevention of stroke and atrial fibrillation, the stratification of cardiovascular risk, the early detection of vascular disease and the application of artificial intelligence in primary care. Lecturer at the Miguel Hernández University and Rovira Virgili University in Master's Degree in Research in Primary Care and doctoral theses. He has led several competitive and multicenter R+D+I PROJECTS IN HEALTH, including the collaborative research studies EU Horizon, STROKE_AID, AFFECT-EU, AIISEM, AF-screen, EBRICTUS, AFRICAT, PREFA-TE and MATHIAS. She actively participates in collaborative research networks such as AF-screen, CARDIOCAT, and in European Scientific Societies (SEC, ESO, EPCCS, WONCA).
