Diana Puente Baliarda
Holding a degree in Medicine from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, a Master's degree in Public Health Methodology from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium) and a PhD in biomedical research from the Pompeu Fabra University. Its activities are related to the epidemiology of cancer and long COVID, among others. Employment contract at the Institut Universitari de Recerca en Atenció Primària Jordi Gol (IDIAPJGol) since 2005. She obtained a contract for "Support for Research in the National Health System" (Carlos III Health Institute: 2006-08) and a "Stabilization of female researchers" contract (Carlos III Health Institute / Autonomous Community of Catalonia: 2008-11). She led the project entitled "Metabolic syndrome and cancer risk: case-control study with data from the Information System for the Development of Research in Primary Care (SIDIAP) in Catalonia (PI17/0091)", funded by the FIS 2017. He co-leads the project entitled "Covid19 persistent" funded by the Department of Health in 2020. He has tutored TFM work and has directed 2 doctoral theses: Tomàs López: Metabolic syndrome and incidence and mortality from cancer among the Catalan population (25/06/2025); Gemma Torrell: The erosion of the value of narration as a source of knowledge in clinical practice. The case of long COVID, currently active. He has participated in the drafting of national and European proposals, increasing contacts with international researchers. He has participated in reviews of national and international journals. He has attended national and international conferences as a speaker of oral communications. He is currently a member of the GRenSSAP (Research Group in Primary Care Health Services), accredited by AGAUR and REDICAPPST. Since 2020 she has been part of the Innovation Agency of IDIAPJGol.
