Talita Duarte-Salles Salles
Dr Talita Duarte-Salles holds a Masters in Public Health and a PhD in Biomedicine from the Universidad Pompeu Fabra. Since 2015, she works as an epidemiologist leading the area of real-word evidence at IDIAPJGol. She has been involved as the lead in several research projects using electronic health records databases, mainly the SIDIAP (www.sidiap.org) in Catalonia, Spain. She has been in charge of the mapping of SIDIAP to the OMOP-CDM as part of the European Health Data & Evidence Network EHDEN (www.ehden.eu) project, and has also collaborated in and led a number of international research projects with other databases within the Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics OHDSI (www.ohdsi.org). She has extensive experience on the generation of evidence based on real-world data, being the lead of a multi-disciplinary research group at IDIAPJGol (Real World Epidemiology - RWEpi) focussed on the generation of real-world evidence for disease characterisation, prediction modelling, and causal inference.
