SCIENTIFIC SESSION

The session will present the main findings of the RISEUP-PPD-COVID-19-BABYS project, funded by the Alicia Koplowitz Foundation, which has investigated the relationship between stress and maternal mental health during the perinatal period and the temperament and development of infants. Findings from two prospective cohorts of babies born during the pandemic in Spain and Portugal will be presented, along with the key implications for the prevention and promotion of maternal and child mental health. The session will also provide an opportunity to reflect on the risk and protective factors that may be relevant to early childhood development.
