I pursued my undergraduate studies in Human Biology at UPF from 2014 to 2018. My focus on quantitative methods led me to study for a Master’s degree in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics at UOC and UB. I completed my master’s internship at the Girona Cancer Registry, where I developed my interest in the epidemiology of chronic diseases. After finishing the master’s degree, I began my doctoral thesis on patterns of multimorbidity and my work as a predoctoral researcher in the Aging, Disability, and Health group (at the Girona Biomedical Research Institute), where I worked as a Country Team Operator in the data collection for the SHARE study (Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe) in the Girona region. This group coordinated the Girona Dementia Registry (ReDeGi), which gave me the opportunity to collaborate on several studies related to this cognitive disorder, including a research stay at the Karolinska Institutet (Stockholm, Sweden) aimed at comparing the presence of comorbidities between the ReDeGi cohorts and the Swedish Cognitive Medical Registry (SveDem). Since 2022, I have been working as a researcher in the Vascular Health Research Group of Girona (within IDIAPJGol), working on various projects related to epidemiology, risk factors, and the prevention of chronic diseases, with a special focus on cardiovascular diseases and dementia.

Functions

The main function of the Technical Secretariat is to support the management carried out by the coordinator. Its tasks are as follows:

Provide support for the management, organization, and coordination of the network's different work packages.

Schedule and call meetings for the different bodies of the network, draft the minutes, and follow up on the decisions made.

Develop and maintain operational procedures and draft general documents regarding the network's functioning (authorship, project evaluation, agreements with private companies, etc.).

Planning and coordination of the Training Plan. Organization of the network's annual conferences.

Monitoring evaluation indicators for the research and training program, as well as for the different groups.

Prepare annual reports.

Maintenance of the network's Communication Plan. This includes the maintenance of the website and the management application, GIR. Of particular interest to mention:

The affiliation registry of the network members, platform control, the registry of projects by network members (with information on protocols, documentation, researchers, publications, etc., as well as information on the different work packages, activities, calls for applications, and minutes of the various meetings held by the governing bodies)
