Speaker: Marta Ballester y Pilar Illarramendi
Marta Ballester. Project Director and senior researcher. She has specialised in the areas of empowerment, person-centred care and implementation. She is currently a WP lead in the BUILD project, funded by Horizon-RIA, a project focused on analysing integrated solutions for person-centred care, and she participates in the OECD’s PaRIS-SUR project.
Pili Illarramendi. Technician and researcher. She has worked on the implementation and evaluation of social policies. Currently, she actively contributes to the OECD PaRIS-SUR project, an international study of patient-reported indicators for the development, standardisation and measurement of outcomes and experiences of patients with chronic conditions.
Brief Description of the Session
The Avedis Donabedian University Institute (FAD) will present the PARIS-SUR project (https://paris-sur.org/), which supports the development and implementation of the international survey of patient-reported indicators (PaRIS) on the outcomes and experiences of people living with chronic diseases. The PaRIS survey is led by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). https://www.oecd.org/health/paris/
The project is the first international survey to measure health outcomes in primary care using patient-reported measures (PROMs and PREMs). This survey, in which 21 countries are participating, including Spain, focuses on those patients with one or more chronic conditions.
The overall objective is to understand the perceived conditions and experience of the services provided by primary care in order to help develop more people-centred health systems, and to develop a set of reliable, valid and internationally comparable indicators relating to patient-reported health outcomes and experiences.
The data collection period is scheduled to end in December 2023. Therefore, by May 2024 the data analysis will have been carried out, at least at a preliminary stage, and the session will form part of the dissemination activities.
